Beer Garden

Cody's legendary beer garden was renovated under new ownership in 2022, and has been welcoming patrons and their 4 legged pals ever since.

Known to have one of the greatest outdoor bar spaces in Chicago, our patio keeps the friendly neighborhood vibe and corner tap ambience with plenty of space to move around, all year round. Our beer garden has hosted such events as birthday parties, anniversaries, pre and post wedding get togethers, baby showers, and especially dog birthday parties.

Whatever your outdoor patio needs are, Cody's beer garden is happy to accommodate. We have plenty of tables, TVs, and even outdoor dart boards! We can accommodate up to 100 guests, and the beer garden offers enclosed and heated patio space in the winter. Bring your dog, pals, family – whatever! We're always happy to see you.

Always Dog Friendly, Inside and Out!

Lakeview is found on Chicago's north side.  It has over 100,000 residents who call it home. Cody's Public House is less than a mile southwest of Lakeview at 1658 West Barry Avenue.  Although we have spruced-up Cody's and transported the corner bar into the 21st Century, we have done nothing to take away from Cody's charm.  We have retained all the favorite features for all our faithful Lakeview customers, and Cody's is still in many ways just like the Cody's you remember!

As one of the region's friendliest bars with patios, we still feature the favorite outdoor beer garden that is not only people friendly, but is super dog friendly as well!

If you have not yet had the pleasure of being a guest of Cody's Public House, let's change that today!  We are extending an open invitation for you and all your friends to come on down to one of the best outdoor bars on the block for a couple of beers.  Stick around to sample some of our 16 draft beers on tap.

We are open seven days a week:

Monday – Friday,  12 PM – 2 AM

Saturday, 10 AM – 3 AM,
